Clare T.D. and Chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade Pat Breen said today (Tuesday that he is delighted that an tAire na Gaeltachtas Joe McHugh T.D. has accepted his invitation to visit County Clare and that the Minister will undertake a number of engagements on Thursday, 5th March 2015.
His first port of call will be to visit Choláiste Uí Chomhraí in Carrigaholt where he will meet with the Local Board of Management. From there he will travel to Kilkee to meet with Conradh na Gaeilge members. His next engagement will be to visit Gaelscoil Uí Choimín in Kilrush where he will also meet with Coiste Forbartha, a group of Irish language enthusiasts who are working hard to promote the Irish language in West Clare. Later on, he will travel into Ennis to visit Gaelscoil Mhichíl Cíosóig and meet with Members of An Clar as Gaeilge.
“I am looking forward to Minister McHugh’s visit and to opportunity to show him the many organisations and activities which are supporting the revival of the Irish Language here in County Clare.”
