The Minister for Employment and Small Business Pat Breen said today (Wednesday) that he is very pleased that his colleague the Minister for Education and Skills Richard Bruton T.D. has accepted his invitation and will travel to Tulla on Thursday next, 22nd September 2016 at 1230 hrs to perform the official opening of the new School at St Joseph’s Secondary School in Tulla.
“Thursday will be a very proud day for all those associated with Education in Tulla down through the years. The newly constructed state of the art School, which will be officially opened in the day, is testament to the strong tradition of St Joseph’s Secondary School and it place in the life of Tulla and East Clare community down through the years.
The new school was constructed under the Governments five year School Building Programme for 2012-2016 comprises a two storey building with 26 specialist classrooms, 10 general classrooms, PE Hall, special needs facilities, outdoor playing facilities etc.
“I am very pleased that the Government has invested in these new facilities in Tulla. This investment will have a very positive impact on the young people of East Clare for many generations to come.
I would also like to commend the Principal, Teachers and Board of Management at the School for their on-going commitment to the enhancement of the educational environment for the pupils of the area and wish them all the very best for the future.”
