Ref No: 7167/08

Answered by Minister for Transport

(Noel Dempsey TD)

I have no immediate plans to initiate work by consultants on the assessment of the robustness of the business plans, which I have received for Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports. My Departmental officials have examined the plans concerned and I would envisage some further discussions with the Airport Authorities about key aspects of the restructuring process in the period ahead. In that regard I should mention

that I have appointed Peter Cassells to liaise with the DAA and the CAA in an effort to resolve speedily the longstanding disagreement on Cork debt.
