British Irish Chamber of Commerce to discuss trade promotion with Foreign Affairs Committee

The British Irish Chamber of Commerce will attend the meeting of the Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade tomorrow, Wednesday 20th February, 2013 as part of the Committee’s hearings into the role and contribution of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to trade promotion and economic recovery.

The British Irish Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of businesses on either side of the Irish Sea that are focused on Ireland, Britain and the joint economic space within these islands.

The Committee will hear from the British Irish Chamber of Commerce representatives on the role they see the Department and Irish embassies playing in managing, organising and promoting international trade and how they may coordinate their efforts with business representative organisations.

The meeting will start in Committee Room 1, Leinster House at 4 pm on Wednesday, 20th February 2013.
