Foreign Affairs & Trade Committee to discuss European External Action Service this afternoon

The Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade will meet at 2.30 p.m., today, Wednesday 12 October 2011 to discuss the European External Action Service with Mr. David O’Sullivan, CEO of the service.

Speaking in advance of the Meeting the Committee Chairman, Pat Breen TD said “I look forward to hearing from Mr O’Sullivan on the advancements made by the EEAS in recent months as it supports the work of the EU High Representative in her broad external mandate, including conducting the EU’s common foreign and security policy as mandated by the Council.
