Mentor Graphics Corporation decision to base its Regional Data Centre in Shannon sends out a very positive message – BREEN

Clare T.D. and Chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs & Trade Pat Breen has welcomed the opening of a new regional data centre by Mentor Graphics Corporation, which are based in the East Park in Shannon.

This new multi dollar centre will serve all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa from its Shannon base. An additional 7 high end jobs will be created at the Shannon facility which already employs 100 highly skilled staff since setting up in Shannon in 1999.

“The fact Shannon was selected by Mentor Graphics Corporation as the location for this regional data centre sends out a very positive message to Foreign Investors about this Region in terms of attracting foreign direct investment. We have the infrastructure in place to support FDI investments and today’s announcement is testimony to this given that the Company have stated that our superior infrastructure was one of the main reasons for citing this centre here.”
