Minister of State for the Gaeltacht Dinny McGinley TD made a very successful visit to County Clare – BREEN.

p1040311p1040310The Minister of State for the Gaeltacht Dinny McGinley T.D. made a very successful visit to County Clare on Thursday last 22nd March 2012. His programme included visits to Choláiste Uí Chomhraí in Carrigaholt; the Seol Sionna project in Querrin, The Gaelscoil in Kilrush and meetings with “Coiste Forbartha na Gaeltachta” Group in Kilrush and An Clár as Gaeilge” in Ennis.

Minister McGinley also met with Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann Groups in Teach Cheoil in Kilrush and in Cois na habhainn in Ennis. Speaking following the visit, Clare T.D. and Chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade Pat Breen said that “Minister McGinley was delighted to have the opportunity to visit County Clare and to see at first hand for himself the work which is being undertaken by various organisations in the County to promote the use of the Irish Language. Given that Clare has a proud tradition of traditional music, he was delighted to meet with the Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann Groups in Kilrush and Ennis and to speak with the teachers and Children at the Gaelscoil in Kilrush.”
