Minister Pays Tribute to Two Award Winning Clare Businesses.

September 22nd, 2016 - Pat Breen

The Minister for Employment and Small Business Pat Breen has this evening congratulated the two Clare Businesses who were among the overall winners in the 2017 Georgina Campbell Awards.
Speaking during the Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission to the US the Minister said, “It is a tribute to the hard work, dedication and attention to detail of the management and staff of An Fear Gorta, The Tea and Garden Rooms in Ballyvaughan and Burren Glamping in Kilfenora that they were presented with these prestigious accolades.”

“I am pleased that An Fear Gorta, The Tea and Garden Rooms, Ballyvaughan, received the Café of the Year, while Burren Glamping, Burren Free Range Pork Farm, in Kilfenora, were awarded the Natural Food Award,” he said.

“The Tea and Garden Rooms are a great example of the second generation of a family continuing a tradition of hard work, good service and commitment, thereby ensuring continued success in the very competitive hospitality sector.

“Meanwhile Burren Glamping has received well deserved recognition for not only its unique farm accommodation, but also its own locally sourced top quality organic and free range food, and you really can’t get any more local than your own farm,” added Minster Breen.

“These two businesses are prime examples of the great work being done by forward thinking and conscientious small and sustainable tourism and hospitality businesses throughout Clare,” said the Fine Gael Minister.

The 2017 Georgina Campbell Awards were held today (Wednesday) at Bord Bia in Dublin.
Campbell’s annual food and hospitality awards, the longest running in Ireland, are independently assessed and provide a September snapshot of the best in Irish hospitality.
